Gajah Wong Yogyakarta

Together with some friends from Iraq and Serbia, I took dinner at Gajah Wong Restaurant Jogja.
I have been there three times but you know what? I always find something different from time to time.

The electricity was off when we arrived, but then they put sentir (a traditional glass lamp with kerosene) in every corner, adding the exotic...hhmmm, spooky :)... atmosphere in the place. But still...., it did not decrease our will to eat dinner in Gajah Wong.

We chose Gamelan Room to get the feel of Javanese ambiance. There were a set of Gamelan (Javanese Traditional Music) with the musicians sit in front of us.

As appetizer, I ordered an ordinary but delicious Cesar Salad, together with Lime Juice. That was perfect!

For the main course, I ordered Ranapekel (lamb chop with coconut rice, sambals and crackers)

It took five minutes for me to start eating. Damn! I really did not want to ruin the look of the food.
How about the taste? I give you one word. "FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC!"

Though my stomach was nearly exploded, I could not refuse to take Tiramisu as a dessert.
Slurrrpppp….. It was an unforgettable moment!.
You could feel a piece of tiramisu, automatically melt down in your mouth.

Want to try? Just ask the taxi driver to bring you to Gajah Wong Restaurant Jl Gejayan. I can assure you, at the end, you will experience the same thing like i did. SPLENDID!
